(Not a perfect explanation because in other issues various characters do remember incidents from there.) ![]() They say the mindwipe covered his whole visit in #1-3. They put it down to a mindwipe at the end of SWII#3 to make everyone forget Beyonder conquered the world in that issue. The MCP place this issue immediately after SWII#3 to explain why the team don't remember Beyonder being on Earth (and Prof X detecting him land). The Marvel Chronology Project Forum thinks he is just messing with the Illuminati's minds here. The idea that he is a mutant Inhuman has also never been taken up by others, in favour of the theory that he is an immature offspring of the equally pan-cosmic Beyonders. ![]() But there are all those crossovers with other titles to explain, some of which have lasting consequences. This controversial issue suggests that Secret Wars II never happened on the real Earth, just in Beyonder's simulations. And when it hits you, and it will, you'll realize the force of the story and the talent of this author. The book is constructed so cleverly with such elegance that you won't see the end coming, though it was always there over you like a sledge hammer. The author puts a lot of unnecessary detail at the beginning of the book and not enough details at the end of the story. The thing that made me the most upset was the ending. ![]() Also, it annoyed me that the characters used the same words over and over again- word such as "dude" and "bro". At some parts a character would have some traits, and at a different part of the book, the character would have totally different characteristics that didn't agree with their original ones. Another thing that upset me was the characters. ![]() The plot was extremely boring- sometimes I would have to read parts over and over again to completely understand them because I would start daydreaming and have no clue what I was reading. ![]() Personally, I didn't like the book Twisted Consequences by Irie Parker at all. ![]() ![]() ![]() But if you are ready for something more, read on.
